Revision Strategies
I found the revision tactics used in class to be somewhat effective. I feel that the one on one review was more effective than self or group evaluation. I feel that with myself I'm not as hard on myself, because I think that I'm a good writer and I like what I write. With other people I can look at what they wrote and maybe say that I would've done something different or said it a different way, but with me I already said it the way I wanted to so it's somewhat uncomfortable for me to go back on that.Overall I feel that the attention placed on revising in this class has aided me as a writer and will only help me in the future.-Thanks
Music
I feel that music has changed a lot over time. I feel that there are few artists that can make music that will change everything forever. I believe that Elvis ended a period of conformity when he came out with the rebellious music of rock n roll. I believe that the Beatles changed how music was marketed internationally. I believe that Michael Jackson changed how people reacted to music, and what pop music really was. I believe that since then(with a few people worth arguing for) there has been a lack of that dynamic change in music and culture.until now. I feel blessed to be living during the time period that I am because I truly feel we are currently getting to witness one of those generation artists. From a very unlikely background and a very unlikely genre of music I feel that a legend has emerged. Kanye West is changing music as we know it. He not only it an amazing hip hop artist, but he decided that being considered a good rap artist was not enough for him alone. He has branched out so much musically in the six years since his debut it truly amazes me. He is a rap artist with features from Bon Iver and Elton John on his newest album. It is amazing the things he has done to improve music. Even with all of his outbursts and controversies he is really a deep deep musical genius. At the end of the day we made him a celebrity, he is only here because of his amazing musical talent. People may not see it now, but I feel somewhere down the line we will come to realize that he really is the voice of our generation, and what he talks about is the same thing being debated in congress, spoken about in the state of union address, and are issues we have yet to find an answer for. I always feel inspired when people go against whats normal and do whats them and this is a perfect example of that. Agree or disagree listen to the songs from 808's and define that music. Listen to the songs from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and define that genre. I dont know what it is...it just feels right.

Outline Reflection
I found the outline to be very helpful. It told me exactly what I need to have in the paper, and even gave me a format to put it in. I essentially filled in the outline, and then proceeded to type my paper. i believe if we had outlines like this on previous papers they would have been constructed a lot better. The outline is even a great format to use in future essays.

Thesis Statement
"The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" by Ursula Le Guin demonstrates the power of conformity in relation to past and present world transcendentalist actions.

Critical Reading
Once again the critical reading process helped me to see that you cannot judge a book by its cover. There are reasons for every single word that is said in a story. this process helps you to find those words and have greater understanding of the story. That can be a helpful tool in deciding theme and underlying messages in stories.

Women's Condition
I personally feel that women are undervalued in the early 1900's. the politicians of that time are too concerned with corruption in the government to see what is going on right before their eyes. They fail to realize that an easy way to deal with that corruption would be to allow women(which are considered moral and pure at the time)to assist in politics and voting. The women prove during WWI and WWII that they are invaluable piece to our success in America. At the time of the story they are neglected and often pushed aside. Their husbands often make all the decisions and the women are left to only minimally influence the man's often very strong opinions. Women in the early 1900s are very strong and valuable educators and vial in rearing the children of that era. But it is not until two decades later that congress realizes how valuable they are to society and pass a law for them to vote. They are also very influential in politics at that time leading the religious revival and temperance movements.
